Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to have the data deleted that Doneforyou stored through the connection with Meta (Facebook and Instagram). This includes: the connection data (app-scoped Meta user ID or system user ID, name on Facebook, business ID, encrypted access token and its expiry date), the lists of your ad accounts and Facebook Pages, your selection, and the records of campaigns you ran through Doneforyou (Meta IDs, settings, DSA information, status and aggregated metrics). Four ways to delete your data

1. Disconnect in Doneforyou

  1. Log in at app.doneforyou.io.
  2. Open the Ads tab and click “Disconnect” (“Trennen”), or go to Settings → Connections → Meta ad account → Disconnect.
  3. If you like, we pause all running ads first.

We then revoke Doneforyou's permissions at Meta and immediately delete the connection data and access token. You delete campaign data in Doneforyou with the respective campaign or with your account (option 4).

2. Remove Doneforyou in Facebook and request deletion

  1. In Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings.
  2. Select Business integrations (on some accounts: “Apps and websites”).
  3. Select Doneforyou and click Remove.
  4. Request deletion of the data Doneforyou received.

Meta notifies us automatically. When you remove the app, we delete the connection including the access token. When you request deletion, we immediately delete the connection and all of your agency's Meta campaign records. Facebook gives you a confirmation code and a link to our status page (https://app.doneforyou.io/api/ads/meta/loeschstatus?code=…), where you can see that and when the deletion was completed.

3. By email

Email [email protected] and include the email address of your Doneforyou account. We complete the deletion within 30 days and confirm it by email.

4. Delete your account

Under Settings → Delete account you can delete your Doneforyou account. This deletes all data we received from Meta and all other data in your account, unless we are legally required to retain it (e.g. invoices).
